Pornography
What a word. it wasn't until the Victorians began unearthing the ruins of Pompei that the word pornography began to mean what it means today. They found such casual sexual imagery right away that it led them to believe that they had just happened to have unearthed a brothel. They soon found out that this kind of sexual depictions were everywhere. Not only was it everywhere, it was apparently associated with higher status. Well, that was just too much for the Victorians and they labeled pornographic and literally locked it away from public view. Only rich, educated white men who were conducting 'study' were able to even know of it's existence. thus began our descent into sexual repression. 
The piece that really threw them over the edge was a sculpture of Pan, the mythical horn dog of his day, fucking a goat. It's an astounding piece of sculpture. The detail is stunning, right down to his hard uncut cock just about to plunge deeply into the goat's spread pussy. The Victorians of the day just could not imagine why anyone with the skill that it would have taken to sculpt a piece like that would have chosen such a horrible, filthy subject. They of course were not interested in knowing the relationship that Pan had with the locals and locked that sculpture right away.
If they had only known that hiding things away just makes them more desirable and the classification of all things sexual as pornography turned it into today's multi-billion dollar industry.
Maybe we owe them a debt of gratitude. The forbidden or the taboo is much more fun to explore. So with that said, I offer up to you my life long passion for all things sexual.
